I will make one exception to the rule of writing this blog in my mothertongue Dutch. Today I want to share this story with our new and old UWT friends.
For those who follow our Linked In profiles or Facebookpage, you know we were at the UWT International Sales Meeting in beautiful Bavarian Allgau only last week.
The baseline of the meeting was "Experience, Enthusiasm, Commitment" - 3 important values for anyone who is in business for the right reason.
With more than 50 people from 28 different countries this Sales Meeting was not just a practical challenge, but also a great mix of culture and experience.
Hearing my colleagues talk about how they sell our wonderful product was so interesting. Our Chinese partner Teoh knows how to sell our top quality products in such a huge market with excessive competition ;
we immediately understood how Our italian friend Alberto convinces the biggest companies in the building sector to work with him and use UWT as thé brand for level measurement;
I was impressed with the organisation of 'The Russians' - who have a strong net from West to East in their huge country, ... they showed how well they work together in many different ways.
Listening to the experience of my colleagues in Holland, America, Ireland, Israel or Spain, was so inspiring, that we returned home with so many ideas to improve our sales even more.
No matter how different we are .... it was crystal clear that we all had many things in common :
- a bullet-proof belief in the brand we chose to distribute - knowing it is the best our customers can get
- a strong commitment to the customers who choose to work with us - offering them the best of ourselves every day
- and experience in so many different industries, experience that is shared with colleagues, resulting in even better solutions for our customers.
One week after the meeting our friendly emails have been exchanged, many of us have linked through social media, business cards have found a good place in our folders, and pictures have been shared and will be treasured.
But what I will treasure most is knowing that we are all part of a strong and worldwide network -online and offline ;-)- that is commited, enthusiastic and experienced. The key to success we talked about so much during our meetings ....is right here in our hands.
